Happy New Year! With 2021 just three days old there’s no reason not to reconfirm your health goals with fitness classes at Travisso. Whether you go it alone at home, have a fitness buddy, or enjoy group fitness classes outside at the Palazzo we’ve got you covered. Safe social distancing is enforced in all classes. Camp Gladiator Live Online Workouts
Whether your fitness goal is to stay fit or get moving in 2021 Camp Gladiator fits the bill. This online group fitness program incorporates both cardio and strength training into a one hour full-body workout. Classes are tailor-made for all fitness level from beginner to intermediate and advanced. A certified personal trainer leads each session. No two sessions are the same. Travisso residents can enjoy the month of January for free. Choose from over 2,500+ live workouts from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. from your own home and at your own pace.
Stretch and Tone
Group fitness class meet on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 8-9 a.m. and on Saturdays from 9-10 a.m. at the Palazzo pavilion. The low impact, low intensity workout strengthens and tones the muscles. But that’s not all. It also increases range of motion and flexibility while helping to reduce stress. Classes are limited to 14 Travisso residents. Participants must bring their own mat and dumbbells to class.
Tennis
Ready for a round of singles or doubles tennis? Travisso’s two lighted tennis courts help you stay fit, healthy and active. The courts are conveniently located adjacent to the Palazzo clubhouse. Reservations are necessary to enjoy the courts.
Yoga
This class meets on Fridays, 8:30 a.m. at the Palazzo Pavilion. The foundational poses of yoga along with breathing techniques are taught in this beginner’s class. Not only does yoga help you to relax there many additional benefits to this low impact exercise program. Classes are limited to 15 residents. Participants must bring their own mat. Zumba
Classes meet on Tuesday and Thursdays, 6-7 p.m. at the Palazzo Pavilion. “Ditch the Workout, Join the Party” describes this unconventional form of exercise that uses Latin music and dance moves to keep participants energized. The key to its success is that it uses interval training that alternates fast and slow rhythms to improve cardiovascular fitness. The group classes are complimentary and available to residents only.
