Just like that, 2021 is over in a flash! Looking back at our year in review, Travisso experienced several significant and exciting changes. Including new faces, places, and traditions!
Winter Storm Rocks Texas
It still feels too soon to talk about, but we can kick off our year in review without looking back on the crazy winter storms we experienced in 2021.
Winter Storm Uri brought chaos to our community, including major power outages, record-breaking cold temperatures, and quite the snowy blizzard. We got through it, and despite the damage, we can’t help but admit how beautiful it made the neighborhood, though.
Let’s all still ask mother nature to take it easy on us in 2022, right?
Savory Farmer’s Market Celebrates 1 Year at Travisso
This June, Savory Farmer’s Market celebrated one year of visiting Travisso! The market first came to Travisso during the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. It was the first in-person event our community had since March. Twice a month, the market connects our community with locally sourced goods. Our local growers and crafters loved every moment of being your grocery store right in your backyard.

Monza Park Opens in 2021
Next on our year in review, Travisso neighbors welcomed new amenities for the whole family to enjoy. Monza Park opened during the summer. The Formula 1-themed playground brings your family a beloved Italian tradition and international sport.
Before checking out an actual F1 race at the Circuit of America course in Austin, take the family and your bikes to the track at Travisso’s Monza Park.

New Faces at the Travisso Office
Our community also welcomed two new staff members to the Travisso family. In June, David Allen, our community manager, and Adrian Hernandez, lifestyle director, joined the team.
As our community manager, David works to expand the homeowner network at Travisso while serving as a liaison between residents and the developer board. Adrian creates more than an event calendar as lifestyle director. She also builds our community through shared events, activities and celebrates from all the interests of our diverse residents.

New Infrastructure Developments
Several big plans broke ground in 2021, leading to several significant changes to come in 2022 and beyond to make living at Travisso even better.
First, the Osage Drive expansion is nearing completion. In early 2021, crews installed the bridge that will connect Osage Drive to the Crystal Falls area. Once the expansion is complete, residents will have another entryway to Travisso. In addition, the route will connect you to schools, shopping centers, and other amenities without needing to drive the main highway. Travisso hopes the construction will be complete during the early months of 2022!
Second, the City of Leander completed the construction of a new fire station at Travisso. As Travisso continues to grow, we are preparing to continue to keep residents safe. Leander Fire Station No. 5 is located at the entrance of Travisso Parkway. At the moment. The station is not currently staffed. The City of Leander will keep Travisso updated on when they plan to do so.
Overall, Travisso had an exciting year. We welcomed new staff members and new neighbors. Our community started new traditions during several events. We also overcame adversity in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic and wild weather.
Our wish for 2022 is to continue to build a safe and diverse community that welcomes everyone. Don’t forget about having some fun in the new year too! Travisso is looking forward to hosting more exciting events.
