This new phase adds more than 50 new retail and eating establishments adjacent to the longstanding Austin Domain shopping mall located just off the Mopac. The 43-acre, 600,000-square-foot shopping and entertainment mecca pays homage to all that is new including clothing stores, specialty bars and restaurants, galleries, a hotel, apartments, and the greatest in home décor and furnishing stores.
Decorating and accessorizing your new Austin home can be daunting and challenging. However, with the addition of several new home furnishing retailers, The Domain Northside has taken the task of decorating your home to multiple levels—fun, stylish, and care free.
Joining The Domain’s longstanding home retailers Loft Home and Arhaus are newcomers RH Austin, CB2, Design Within Reach, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, and PIRCH.
Domain Northside is co-anchored by Nordstrom’s and a multi-story Restoration Hardware, appropriately named RH Austin, The Gallery at The Domain, a new concept and a first of its kind, for the California based high-end home furnishing store. The 62,000 square-foot showroom opened September 29. RH Austin houses four levels of indoor and outdoor residential furnishings, a Ben Soleimani rug showroom, a design studio, the RH Modern line, RH Contemporary Art and an array of fine art, photography, and sculptures. And, if that is not enough, the fourth floor is a showstopper. It includes an 11,000 square-foot rooftop park and conservatory.
As you make your way down Palm Way below the new swank Archer Boutique Hotel is CB2, a Crate and Barrel hybrid, making its storefront debut. Though it is still under construction the CB2 website promises an eclectic mix of stylish, modern and affordable furnishings for apartments, lofts, and homes. At CB2 you are surrounded by inspiration. Shop your style or get inspired by the retailer’s Italian vintage collection, perfect for your Travisso home, or the Matthew Williamson London Eclectic collection. Furnishings are available for living and dining rooms, offices, bedrooms, outdoor, and more. On a side note, there currently is a CB2 Austin furniture warehouse where shoppers can explore the famous retailer’s furnishings and accessories for the modern home Monday through Saturday.
Design Within Reach is a retailer that allows its customers to visualize their dream home. The Domain Northside design studio includes 29 fully decorated showrooms highlighting accessible authentic modern design. Choose from one-of-a-kind styles from Europe to modern classics for every room for your home. The studio offers complimentary design services, expert consultations, in-home visits,
3-D room renderings, and personal appointments.
Located on Domain Boulevard Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams is a modern classic furniture retailer committed to providing earth-friendly created in America recycled upholstery and cushions that are free of-fire retardant chemicals. They are also a member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council and have gone to great lengths to recycle and upcycle products to reduce both their carbon footprint and landfill waste. As is the case with their sofa frames, the company has incorporated water-based biodegradable glue with springs and mechanisms made from 65% recycled metal. Dining, living, and bedroom furniture along with rugs, lighting, bed linens, accessories and a special “Good Wife” tribute collection rounded out the showrooms selections.
Still to come is PIRCH, a California-based home appliance super store carrying high-end admired kitchen, bath, and outdoor brands at the best possible prices. The showroom lets you experience first-hand how the products will work in your home. In a sense you can test drive just about any product the store. In the showroom chefs are cooking and chopping, washing machines are cleaning, and bathroom and kitchen faucets are gleaming. The heart of the home, according to PIRCH’s website, is the kitchen. And, with all the brands they carry PIRCH delivers what they promise with well-known products from Thermador, Viking, Kohler and much, much more. The store is still under construction but signs say it’s coming soon.
