This October keep busy all month long with a list of Travisso activities and events sure to please the entire family. Whether you like to meet new neighbors, try new hobbies, or celebrate Tuesdays with tacos, there’s something for everyone. With so much to do you’ll be sure to have a full October social calendar. Clubs and Meet-Ups
Ladies Coffee meets on Thursday, Oct. 1 from 9-11 a.m. Enjoy a cup of your favorite coffee or latte and friendly conversations with neighbors. This two-hour virtual zoom meetup takes place in the comfort of your home. Brew your favorite cup of coffee then sit down and relax as you catch up with neighbors and friends.
The Travisso Book Club meets on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 3 p.m. Residents are welcome to join in during the month of October for a discussion of the book The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes. For those that would like to read ahead, the chosen book for November is The Alice Network by Kate Quinn. December’s book title is I’ll be Gone in the Dark by Michelle McNamara. Discussions will take place virtually.
Learn more about Travisso’s natural neighbor the Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge with the Adventure Club on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. Participants will meet at the Cactus Rocks Trail entrance then hike the 3.1 mile Vista Knoll and Ridgeline Loop.
The Savory Farmers’ Market
Find farm fresh foods and local produce at the Savory Farmers’ Market on Wednesdays, Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28, 3-7 p.m. in the Palazzo parking lot. The market takes place rain or shine. It brings high-quality vendors offering premium farm, ranch, seafood, and locally-sourced artisan products to the Travisso community. You’ll find a variety of fresh seasonal veggies, grass fed beef, free range eggs, gluten-free bakery products, honey, jams and so much more. An on-site food truck is also available for evening dining.

Join El Buen Sason Tacos Al Pastor on Tuesday, Oct. 6 from 5-7 p.m. in the Palazzo parking lot. If Taco Tuesday is a weekly dinner event in your household, what better way to celebrate than with delicious tacos and quesadillas? El Buen Sason will be in the neighborhood the first week in October. Place your order here.
Coyote Moon Coffee sets up shop on Wednesday mornings in the Palazzo parking lot from 7-10 a.m. Join them this month on Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28. Savor a freshly brewed Cup of Joe without having to make it yourself. Coyote Moon Coffee is micro roasted right here in the Texas Hill Country and offers numerous medium to dark roasts that are sold in all 50 states. They feature a variety of grab and go specialty coffees, lattes, cold brews and pastries from Russell’s Bakery.
Redfin Seafood Truck will visit the Travisso community on Tuesday, Oct. 13 from 5-7 p.m. Join them in the Palazzo parking lot for a variety of Cajun spiced seafood and local specialties. Buffalo chicken sandwiches, fish tacos, fried shrimp baskets and po’ boys are menu favorites.
Pizza anyone? Austin area favorite Via 313 comes to Travisso on Tuesday, Oct. 20 in the Palazzo parking lot. They do not cook on-site so you must place your order online ahead of time. Then pick up your pizza from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Their order link will be published as soon as it’s received.
An Evening Happening
Think you know a lot of trivia? If you’re an avid fan of the game show Jeopardy, join the Travisso Empty Nester’s Club for Red’s Saturday Night Trivia. It meets on Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. You can test your knowledge and win bragging rights during this entertaining evening filled with challenging questions. The evening’s questions will be led by Texas Red Entertainment. Mix up your favorite cocktail, grab a snack and join in through zoom.
Activities and Events for Kids
Little Sunshine Singing Time gives kids the opportunity to sing, dance and be merry. It meets on Wednesday mornings Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28 at the Palazzo Pavilion from 8:30-9:15 a.m. Travisso resident Maggie Moore leads this weekly playtime group for kids and their adult partner. Circle time also includes games and much more. Reservations are necessary. Please sign up on the Travisso Community Association page to attend.
Celebrate Halloween safely during our Spaced-Out Trail of Treats on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2-4 p.m. on the Palazzo event lawn. This very special “Spaced Out” trail will offer loads of fun, sweet treats and alien greets. Kids will follow the sidewalk around the lawn and visit social distanced candy stations. Candy will be wrapped for easy pick up.
Holiday Photographs
Capture the perfect holiday photo and send to family and friends with Texas Touch Photography. They will be taking family photos on Saturday, Oct. 24 and Sunday, Nov. 1 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sessions are $50 and include a 25-minute photographer session and two edited images. The sign up link will be available in the Oct. 7 email.
