Reflection: October Events at Travisso

There’s something magical about autumn in the Hill Country. This season brings crisp air, golden sunsets, and a community that knows how to celebrate the season in style. At Travisso, October was packed with events that brought neighbors together for laughs, live music, seasonal treats, and unforgettable moments. Whether it was cruising classic cars or picking pumpkins at Trunk or Treat, our residents made the most of fall.
Here’s a look back at everything we enjoyed in October.

Featured October Events at Travisso

Travisso Car Show

Travisso’s annual Car Show rolled back into town and revved up the fun. Neighbors and local businesses turned out to admire an impressive lineup of classic and custom cars, all competing for the coveted piston trophy. Acoustic band Stooch kept the good vibes going with live tunes while guests dined on fresh lobster rolls from Lobster Dogs and cooled down with sweet treats from Oddpops.

National Night Out

Community and connection were the heart of National Night Out, an annual event dedicated to building relationships between residents and local law enforcement. The Leander Police and Fire Departments joined us with their vehicles in tow, giving kids and adults alike a chance to explore, learn, and meet the people who keep our city safe.

From a 3-lane inflatable sports game to sweet treats, the evening was both festive and meaningful. Our Firewise Committee also shared helpful tips and demonstrations on how to protect homes from wildfires—just another example of how Travisso puts community first.

Harvest Fest

Fall fun was in full swing at our beloved Harvest Fest, where residents of all ages enjoyed live music from Jean Pierre and The Night Cats, seasonal snacks, and activities around every corner. From pumpkin bowling and face painting to pumpkin painting, train rides, and cotton candy, there was something festive for everyone. And with Crepe Crazy serving up delicious bites and free snow cones to cool things off, it’s no wonder this event continues to be a fall favorite.

After Work Hike

Sometimes the best way to unwind is to head outside. In October, residents laced up their shoes for an after-work hike along the Lower Venezian Trails, soaking in the natural beauty that surrounds Travisso. With scenic Hill Country views and fresh autumn air, it was the perfect way to end the workday.

"Harvest Fest is one of my favorite events of the year, and I was so excited to bring in an element we’ve never had at Travisso before—train rides! Then, we wrapped up the month with Trunk-or-Treat, and it was so fun seeing everyone in their costumes. Several hundred residents joined us for this event and we had 22 local businesses set up trunks! Our very own HOA team even had fun embracing the Halloween spirit by dressing up as characters from the movie Wicked."

Trunk or Treat

The month wrapped up with our spooktacular Trunk or Treat, where decorated trunks filled with candy lined the Palazzo parking lot, creating a safe and festive way for kids to collect Halloween goodies. Costumes and creativity were on full display, and a pumpkin patch on the front lawn made for adorable photo ops and take-home pumpkins for little ones.

This year’s event also included a Pet Supplies Drive benefiting Texas Humane Heroes, reminding us that even while having fun, Travisso families always find ways to give back.
