September brought the perfect blend of outdoor adventure, community connection, and cultural celebration to Travisso—and we’re still buzzing from all the excitement! Whether it was cooling off with tropical vibes at our Luau or belting out country hits during Music Bingo, this month reminded us that life at Travisso is anything but ordinary. If you’re considering making Travisso your home, here’s a glimpse of the lifestyle that’s waiting for you.
Featured September Events at Travisso
Art History Dialog: Georgia O’Keeffe
We kicked off the month with inspiration and insight during our quarterly Art History Dialog led by Julie Mattox. This September’s session spotlighted the life and work of Georgia O’Keeffe, offering a deeper look at her creative journey and what it means through the lens of the human condition.
Grandparents Day Craft
Kiddos got crafty with colorful keychains just in time for Grandparents Day! Some were made with a grandparent and some were made for one, but either way, these hands-on creations were full of love and creativity. Events like these remind us that connection across generations is something truly special.
Travisso Luau
The spirit of “aloha” was in full swing at our poolside Luau! Residents were treated to snow cones, leis, tropical drinks, and festive entertainment including live ukulele music, a hula dancer, and a meet-and-greet with Lilo & Stitch. Food trucks and family fun kept the good times going all evening. It was a beautiful reminder of the island-style joy found right here in the Hill Country.
Travisso Sports League Kicks Off
September also marked the launch of the Travisso Sports League—a youth-led initiative designed to bring kids together through inclusive and growth-minded sports programming. Starting with basketball, the league is already creating a positive ripple across the community, thanks to a mission rooted in teamwork and confidence-building.
Desi Ladies Retro Night
It was glitter, glam, and good times at our all-ladies retro celebration! With music from across Indian cinema, fun games, and exciting prizes, it was a joyful throwback that had everyone channeling their inner Bollywood star. Featuring bell bottoms and bold moves, this night was packed with personality and community spirit.
"We had such an exciting month in August! One of the highlights was hosting our very first Children’s Business Market, where more than 30 booths were run entirely by young entrepreneurs from our community. This was truly one of my favorite events we’ve ever done—it was inspiring to see the kids’ creativity, the hard work they put into their businesses, and the pride they felt sharing their ideas. To help prepare them, we even hosted a special business etiquette class beforehand, covering everything from taking payments to food safety and customer service. The market was such a huge success that residents immediately started asking when the next one would be, and I’m thrilled to share we’ll be bringing it back in November!"

Women’s Self Defense with Gracie Barra
Confidence, strength, and community came together on the event field as local instructors from Gracie Barra led a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu self-defense class. No experience was needed—just a willingness to move, learn, and laugh. The empowering session gave women tools they could truly use, all in a fun and supportive environment.
Country Music Bingo
The Palazzo Pavilion turned into a honky-tonk game night as residents swapped numbers for Nashville tunes. Our DJ played hit after hit while players marked their bingo cards and sang along. The event, complete with food from Shishman Mediterranean Grill, was a toe-tapping reminder that music (and good food) brings people together.
Paws at The Palazzo
Four-legged friends had their moment to shine during our pet-focused pop-up market. With walk-up grooming from Zoomies Mobile Dog Spa, healthy treats from Furpect Nutrition, and an introduction to Peterie—the DoorDash for pet services—it was a tail-wagging good time. Even better? All the vendors were run by Travisso residents!
Travisso Night at Nameless Saloon
Just down the road, Travisso families gathered at Nameless Saloon for a laid-back night of food trucks, yard games, pickleball, and even a towering 60-foot water slide! With new local cuisine on site from Curries and Momos and drink discounts for residents, this event was a highlight for all ages—including the pups who joined in the fun.
After Work Hike
Residents laced up their hiking shoes and hit the Lower Venezian Trails for a post-work adventure with neighbors. With a natural, unpaved path winding through the serene landscape, the evening hike was the perfect reset. Community connections were formed step by step, and the views reminded everyone why Travisso’s location is so special.
