Join us for a fun-filled day of music, activities, food and views from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 22 at The Club at Travisso, 2437 Travisso Parkway. The free event is open to the public.
Musical entertainment begins at 4:30 p.m. with KLRU favorites, the Biscuit Brothers. Kids ages 3-7 will journey through the world of music, magic and wonderment when the entire Biscuit family including Dusty, Buford, Buttermilk, Tiny Scarecrow and Old McDonald take center stage for a farm fresh home-grown old-fashioned foot stomping sing-along. During the performance the group takes kids on an imaginative adventure using a variety of instruments to entertain and inform.
Up next and beginning at 5:30 p.m. is Austin’s premier variety cover band and Travisso Fest’s musical headliner, Suede. Dance and sing to over five decades of radio rock hits and a few of Suede’s original favorites. The band performs a variety of explosive sets of 80s and 90s energizing music that promises to be outrageously fun! Native Texan and lead guitarist, John Lockhart, found the popular cover band in 2007. And, as they say the rest is history. Since then the band has been honored as one of the top cover bands in the state of Texas. Their success story has also crossed state lines as the band has played at many popular venues throughout the U.S. including Radio City Music Hall, L.A. Live’s Nokia Theater, and in the cities of Atlanta and Phoenix.
