Fall is in the air, and that means football season is here! In Central Texas, this means it’s time to Hook ‘em Horns. What better way to enjoy the season than with Bevo at Texas football games.
Bevo is the Mascot for Texas football and is an authentic Texas Longhorn. He sits on the sideline for every home game, surrounded by his caretakers, the Silver Spurs. The current mascot is Bevo XV, a resident of Williamson County at his owner, John and Betty Baker’s farm, called Sunrise Ranch.
But fans can celebrate Texas football earlier at the university tailgate on Bevo Boulevard.

It’s finally time to kick off! Before you go, take a second to plan out parking. While 100,000 fans inside the stadium is a fantastic experience, it does take a toll on local traffic. A parking plan will save you time and trouble getting to and from the stadium. Entering Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, ensure you have your tickets ready. If you want to bring a bag, plan ahead; stadium policy only permits one small non-clear clutch or purse; otherwise, you’ll have to bring a clear bag.
