October Events and Activities At Travisso

It’s the spookiest month of the year here at Travisso! This October is filled with many Fall and Halloween-themed events for you and your family to enjoy. Check it out.

Travisso Harvest Festival

Saturday, October 22nd

Featured this month is our Travisso Harvest Festival! Join us for a celebration of the season and the expansion of our neighborhood. Enjoy free apple cider and cinnamon sugar donuts sponsored by Family Emergency Room while you shop at the artisan market. In addition, enjoy live music by the Aaron Navarro country band!

There is plenty for the whole family to do including:

  • Guided horseback rides on Sharon’s horse, Maggie
  • Pumpkin bowling sponsored Doody Department
  • Balloon twisters sponsored by Tax Protest Map
  • Petting zoo
  • Pumpkin painting
  • Spooky photos at the booth courtesy of the Travisso developer

Make sure to invite your friends who may be interested in moving to Travisso! The Harvesst Festival is for you and your guests! Please RSVP to help us with headcount!

Casino Royale Night 21+

Saturday, October 1st

Palazzo Clubhouse

Ahh, Mr. Bond, we’ve been expecting you. Please break out your best spy gear or cocktail attire and join us for an elegantly good time playing Blackjack, Poker, Craps, and Roulette at the Palazzo clubhouse. Sip shaken, not stirred martinis and drinks while discovering who among you could be a spy. Your RSVP is required; please head over to the newsletter to sign up. This event is intended for our 21+ residents only. Please arrange care for the little spies-to-be so you may enjoy this evening to its fullest.


National Night Out

Tuesday, October 4th

5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Palazzo Clubhouse

Please join us at the Palazzo for an evening meet and greet with our local first responders, including the Leander Fire and Police departments! We will have a balloon twister and face painter onsite to entertain the littles, a belly dance demonstration and lesson, and a fun soccer darts game for everyone! This is an evening you won’t want to miss, as you will get a chance to chat with the police and fire teams that patrol Travisso. This is a great opportunity to ask them questions and come out to enjoy a fall evening in your community.


Belly Dance Fitness Class with Laman

Thursday, October 6th

7:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Your neighbor, Laman Hendricks, is back to teach you more belly dance fitness moves! She will walk you through a warm-up, teach you isolations and combinations of movements, and help you achieve Mediterranean moves of your own! Use the link in our newsletter to sign up. Fall Candle Making Class with Two Island Girls $15

Craft a fall-scented candle or reed diffuser with your friend Shakera of Two Island Girls! This is a great opportunity to try your hand at creating a personalized fall-scented candle or craft a reed diffuser with everything you need provided. We will have hot cocoa, apple cider, and pumpkin treats for everyone!

Oktoberfest Celebration for the 55+ members of the Forever Young group

Saturday, October 15th

Live in Travisso? 55+? Not yet a Forever Young member? Contact Trish Arthur by email to fix that before October 10th!

Hosts Charlie and Mary Krummell invite Forever Young members to join them, as well as old and new friends, at the 3rd annual Oktoberfest Celebration. No additional cost is required beyond already-paid dues. 

Charlie’s famous pretzel station is back and members can sign up to bring traditional German food for a sumptuous dinner and the famous Traditional German music “mix-tape” is ready! Interested members are encouraged to bring German wines/beers for a communal tasting among those who choose to contribute beverages to taste. For their own personal enjoyment, members should BYOB. 

Members should watch their emails for the official invitations, ensure they RSVP through the link in our newsletter, and sign up for what to bring by Wednesday, October 12th. Only the first 75 people to RSVP will be able to attend, so get in quick!


Empty Nester Pickleball Tournament

You have been practicing, and it’s time to put your paddle skills to the test! Join us for an Empty Nester pickleball tournament, followed by delicious pumpkin treats! The winning team will receive gift cards to Academy and a trophy to commemorate your achievement. Start putting your team of 2 together now, and make sure you bring your own paddle to play.


Fall Cake Decorating Class with Berrycake Bakery $35

Ksenia with Berrycake Bakery is returning with a series of seasonal and holiday-themed cake decorating classes! With the fall season in full swing, we will learn how to pipe gorgeous buttercream fall flowers, pumpkins, and more in an autumnal color palette. You will stun your guests this holiday season with great-looking bakes! No prior experience is necessary. You will receive all the necessary tools and supplies.

  • Learn how to pipe buttercream daisies, sunflowers, and leaves.
  • Take home four (4) steel piping tips, and bags
  • Create a final project with beautifully arranged cupcakes
  • Have fun getting to know your neighbors in a creative environment

Fall Photos with Texas Touch Photography

Do you need pictures for your home or holiday cards? This is a perfect opportunity! We are hosting mini picture sessions in Travisso with Texas Touch photography.

All you need to do is sign up for an available appointment that works best for you. Each session is $50, and you get 25 minutes with the photographer and 2 edited images to use. Additional edited images can be purchased for an additional cost.

Calling all residents to celebrate the festival of lights with us at Travisso! Diwali is a time to celebrate the triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. This event is coordinated by residents and the management for residents, so be sure to thank your neighbors for their part in organizing and arranging this event for the community!

You can enjoy live DJ music, henna art, food vendors, kids’ activities, cultural performances, and more! Wear your most colorful outfits and bring your neighbors, this event is for everyone!

Travisso Trunk or Treat

Halloween is here and we are ready for another year of the Travisso Trunk or Treat in partnership with Stroll Travisso magazine! Please join us in costume for a fun time trick or treating at the Palazzo. No RSVP is needed if you plan to attend.

Are you a business owner that would like to advertise to the wonderful Travisso community or a resident that would like to host a trunk at this event? Please sign up through the link on our newsletter! We need plenty of volunteers to open their trunks and let the kiddos have a place to safely have fun. Plan for enough candy for the 200-300 kiddos that may come through, and feel free to dress up and decorate your car with a theme!


This month’s Eats & Treats include the Shishman Mediterranean Food Truck on October 22nd, and Culinary EXP provides a spooky seasonal menu during our Trunk or Treat event on October 28th! 

Don’t forget about our recurring monthly events. Cars & Community is October 1st, Ladies Bunco is October 4th, Preschool Playdate is October 5th, Book Club is the 1st Wednesday of the month, Racehorse Canasta is on Wednesdays, and Palazzo Poker is October 13th and 27th.
